I bought this onesie from Etsy, which is where I bought most of the hats for Julian's photos. The onesie is called the "Southern Gentleman." Even though I'm from Minnesota, I do think he looks pretty dapper in his seersucker vest. I'm amazed I was able to get this photo because he tried to eat his bow tie the entire time. He just needs a tall glass of lemonade, and he's all set!

Julian inherited Chris's eyes, but he definitely got my lower lip. Chris likes to pull out pictures of me when I was little and laugh at my pouty bottom lip. I think it suits Julian well!
Julian is now 6 months old...I can't believe it! It's gone by so fast. He had his 6 month check up last week and he weighs 17 lb 3 ounces. He is 28 inches long, which is about the 85th percentile. He is usually very smiley (when he's not tired) and he babbles a lot. He is sitting up by himself now and rolling over like crazy. He loves to eat solid foods and sweet potatoes are his favorite. When we feed him, we have to shovel food in his mouth as fast as we can because he gets mad if we don't do it quickly enough. He lights up when we read him his favorite books ("Bunny Cakes" and "Go, Dog, Go!"). It is so fun to see him grow and develop his own personality. I think it just keeps getting more fun as he gets older. Although, I kind of like the stage he is at right now because he isn't mobile yet and we don't have to worry about him getting into things. I guess we should think about baby proofing the house one of these days!
I am working on finishing Julian's 6 month photos, so I have a few more pictures to post. It's going to be in the 90s for most of this week, so I think it will nice to be indoors and hopefully I can work on editing them!

Julian wasn't too excited to model for my photos this month. It took me a couple of weeks to get a photo of him smiling. But, it was worth it...he looks pretty darn cute. This photo was taken in our front yard, amidst of all the construction on the exterior of our house. They should be wrapping up construction in the next day or two, and I think it's going to look really nice. I will post pictures when it is all done!

So, I am really behind with posting pictures of Julian. I took this picture one month ago, and I just got around to pulling it up on the computer. Chris, Julian and I have all been sick for the past couple of weeks. Julian had a fever for almost a week and stayed at home with his Grandmas. Julian is now over his illness and back to his happy, smiley self! Chris thinks that the healing touch of his Grandmothers made him better. Now, only if Chris and I could get better! I'm hoping to post more pictures of Julian and update the pictures of our remodel soon.

I'm sure every new parent is a little apprehensive about brining their child to daycare for the first time. However, my fears have been laid to rest because Julian seems really happy at daycare. For now, we are taking Julian to a center in Downtown Minneapolis. It's located right across the street from Chris's work and he can visit Julian anytime. The ladies who take care of him are very nice and grandmotherly. Chris said that they are often holding Julian when he comes to visit. The best thing about the daycare is that they have an i phone app and they update us throughout the day. They also take pictures of Julian with his little buddies. It makes me feel better when I can see him smiling while I'm at work! Here are some of the photos they sent us:

So, I was a little late taking Julian's 3 month photos this month. Between moving back into our house, starting work again and being sick, I haven't had a lot of spare time. I snapped a few pictures at our house the other day. This picture was taken in the new bedroom we added upstairs, which I will use as a photography studio. I will try to post more photos soon!

Julian rolled over for the first time today! He actually did it twice! He was on his stomach for "tummy time" and he rolled over onto his back. His neck is getting so much stronger and he his getting better at lifting his head. He's going to be crawling before we know it!
